POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Four Marist programs – women's basketball, women's cross country, women's track & field, and men's tennis – earned a perfect score of 1,000 in the latest multi-year Academic Progress Rates (APR), which were announced by the NCAA on Tuesday.
In this report, indoor and outdoor track & field are considered one sport.
This is the first public APR announcement in two years, as data was not released last year due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. This announcement includes data that was submitted by schools from the 2017-18 through 2020-21 academic years.
The APR is designed to provide more of a real-time measurement of academic success than graduation success rates. It is a team-based metric in which scholarship student-athletes earn one point each term for remaining eligible, and one point for remaining in school or graduating. Schools and/or programs that don't offer scholarships track recruited student-athletes.
