POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist women's soccer team begins the 2022 season with two games this week. Thursday, August 18, the Red Foxes host St. Bonaventure. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. On Sunday, August 21, the Red Foxes will host another non-conference game against Drexel. The game starts at 1 p.m.
- The Red Foxes were picked fifth in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, earning 70 points.
- Three Red Foxes earned Preseason All-MAAC:
- Marist is set to take on six non-conference opponents. The Red Foxes will host four non-conference matches and will travel to two non-conference opponents.
- The Red Foxes will travel to five conference opponents and will host five conference opponents. Conference play will begin on Saturday, September 17, where Marist will take on the new MAAC opponents, Mount St. Mary's.
- Marist's season ends at 5-7-3 overall. The Red Foxes went 4-4-2 in MAAC regular season play.
- Last season, the Red Foxes were the seventh seed in the MAAC Championship, where they lost to second seed, Quinnipiac, by a score of 1-0 in the quarter final round.
- Last season, Kelchner was named MAAC Goalkeeper of the Year and was named twice MAAC Defensive Player of the Week. She only allowed 14 goals last season, while recording 95 saves. Her save percentage last season was .872 percent.
- Following these two games, Marist will take on Binghamton in a non-conference game. The game is scheduled for Thursday, August 25 at 7 p.m.
