Volleyball Opens Season With Busy Weekend at GSU Invitational

Red Foxes Set to Play Friday & Saturday

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist volleyball team gets the 2022 season started with three games this weekend at the GSU Invitational in Atlanta, Georgia.

Friday, August 26
- at Georgia State (1 p.m.)
- vs. Belmont (4 p.m.)
Saturday, August 27
- vs. Auburn (11 a.m.)

2022 Season Preview

Marist was picked fourth in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, earning 69 points.
Two Red Foxes earned Preseason All-MAAC:
- Junior, Jordan Newblatt
- Graduate student, McKinley Fox
Marist is set to take on 10 non-conference opponents. Three non-conference games will be played at the GSU Invitational, three at the Hokie Invitational, three at the URI Invite, and a single match against the University at Albany.
The Red Foxes will travel to nine conference opponents and will host nine conference opponents. Marist opens up conference play on Sep. 17 when the Red Foxes play host to Manhattan.

2021 Season Recap

The Red Foxes ended the season at 17-13 overall and 12-6 in the conference.
Marist earned the three seed in the MAAC Tournament, but was upset by number six Quinnipiac in the quarterfinal round.
