POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist volleyball will host its home opener and begin conference play this Saturday against the Manhattan Jaspers.  To close out the weekend, the Red Foxes will also host the Iona Gaels on Sunday at 2 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT

• The Red Foxes are currently 4-6 on the season.
• Gabrielle Heller led the Red Foxes on Tuesday night against UAlbany with 15 kills.
• Junior Sasha van der Merwe won MAAC Player of the Week after finishing Tuesday's match with 12 kills and a team-high 12 digs.
• Sophomore Alyssa White added a team-high five blocks.
• McKinley Fox finished the match with 35 assists.

SCOUTING MANHATTAN

• The Red Foxes hold a 28-24 all-time record over the Jaspers with a home record of 15-11 and an away record of 11-8.
• The Red Foxes have won the last four matchups against the Jaspers since 2019, and are 8-2 in the last ten matchups.
• Their last matchup during the 2021-2022 season resulted in a Red Fox 3-0 win.
• The Jaspers are currently 0-6 on the season.
• Julia Menocal leads the team with 59 kills (3.28 per set).

SCOUTING IONA

• The Red Foxes hold a 27-26 all-time record over the Gaels with a home record of 12-11.
• In their last match-up, the Red Foxes won the match 3-2 during the 2021-2022 season.
• The Red Foxes had an eight-match win streak from 2013-2016 against the Gaels.
• Iona University is 5-4 on the season with a 0-3 away record.
• On the day of the match, Marist will host a Youth and Camper Day for kids to come support the team as they take on Iona.  They will also have an opportunity at the end of the game to meet and get autographs from the players.
