POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist men's soccer team defeated Saint Peter's for its first conference win on Wednesday night by a score of 4-0.Â

"Great team win tonight, was proud of the way the guys responded off the weekend and the non-conference schedule. Got the three points needed at home. Now we look forward to playing in a hostile environment down at Iona and doing the necessary things to pick up points on the road in conference," said Head Coach Matt Viggiano.Â

- Early in the first half, the Red Foxes had three corner kicks. The final corner kick in the 15th minute resulted in a goal.
- A corner kick from Jacob Schulman found Henrique Cruz on the back post, resulting in the first goal of the game.
- The Red Foxes started the second half strong, scoring in the 46th minute. Cruz assisted Richard Morel to extend the lead to 2-0.
- In the 52nd minute, Liam Salmon connected for his first goal of the season, which made the score 3-0.
- Extending the Red Foxes lead again, Jonathan Salguero scored his first goal of the season.

- Cruz led the team with three points, a goal and one assist.
- Salmon and Salguero both collected their first goals of the season. Salguero's goal was his first of his career as a Red Fox.
- The Red Foxes' goal total was their highest of the season.
