POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – After their first win of the season over Cornell and a ten-day bye week, Marist women's soccer is back at Tenney Stadium to host UMBC on Thursday, September 8. Kick-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.Â
Thursday afternoon the Red Foxes lace up their cleats with yellow laces for pediatric cancer. The Marist women's soccer team will play its game against UMBC for
Go4theGoal. Go4theGoal is a organization where their mission is to make a difference in the lives of kids battling for cancer.Â
On Sunday, Marist will travel to Delaware state for its final non-conference contest of the season.

- The Red Foxes got their first win of the season with a 2-1 edge over Cornell on August 28.
- The Red Foxes capitalized on their opportunities scoring two of their three shots on goal.

- The Red Foxes will match up against the UMBC Retrievers for the second time in program history, and first time in Poughkeepsie. UMBC prevailed 3-2 in overtime at home on Sept. 3, 2004.
- UMBC is currently 4-1-1 for the season.
- The Retrievers have won their last four with three straight shutouts.
- The Red Foxes and Delaware State Hornets have only played a total of five times starting in 2004. The overall record between the teams is 4-1 with their only loss being in 2015.
- Their last meeting was in 2019 when Marist defeated the Hornets 5-0.
- The Hornets are currently 0-6Â but they will play Robert Morris on Thursday before matching up against the Red Foxes.
- Starting with Delaware State, the Red Foxes play four games on the road to finish the month of September.
