POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Marist volleyball team secured its sixth straight victory after a hard fought five-set battle against Saint Peter's at McCann Arena on Wednesday night. The Red Foxes prevailed 27-25, 25-16, 23-25, 13-25, 15-13.

- The Red Foxes got off to a red hot start as they took an early 8-1 lead in the first set before the Peacocks called a timeout. Marist led by as many as 11, but Saint Peter's used a 21-9 run to take the lead at 24-23.
- Marist staved off set point and closed out the first set, 27-25, after back-to-back clutch kills from Vanessa Zolg and Jordan Newblatt.
- In the second set, Saint Peter's jumped out to a 7-5 lead but the Red Foxes scored eight unanswered to regain control and they did not look back. Marist closed out the set, 25-16.
- The Peacocks took an early seven point lead to start the third set. They stayed in control and led 20-13 before the Red Foxes scored six straight points to get within one. The rest of the set stayed close with Saint Peter's eventually securing it, 25-23.
- Saint Peter's took an early lead in the fourth set and did not look back as they went on to take it, 25-13.
- The final set saw back-and-fourth action between the two teams, but back-to-back kills from Newblatt and Sasha van der Merwe secured the win for Marist. The Red Foxes scored the match's final five points for a 15-13 win in the decisive set.

- Newblatt had a double-double with 19 kills and 13 digs.
- Also tallying a double-double was van der Merwe, with 12 kills and 14 digs.
- Kaitlyn Owens recorded a game-high 32 assists.
- Lillian Thomas chipped in with 18 digs.
- The Red Foxes have now won 14 straight matches at home against the Peacocks.
- Three of Marist's six wins in its current winning streak have come in five sets.
