Women’s Soccer Travels to Iona

Red Foxes Looking to Clinch Playoffs

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Red Foxes will travel to Iona this Wednesday, Oct. 18 for their last regular season matchup on-the-road.  The match is set for 2 p.m. in New Rochelle, New York.  The Red Foxes currently sit in ninth place in the MAAC standings with a 2-4-2 record.
 
LAST TIME OUT
  • The Red Foxes played to a 0-0 draw against Fairfield.
  • Marist tallied four shots in the match and two on goal.
  • Chance Hendricks delivered a shot on goal for the Red Foxes.
  • Grace Hotaling tallied a shot for the Red Foxes.
  • Goalkeeper Maddy Catalanotti earned a clean sheet in the draw with four saves.
  • Fairfield tallied 16 shots in the match and four on goal.
SCOUTING IONA
  • The Red Foxes will match up against the Iona Gaels for the 22nd time in program history.
  • The Red Foxes have an all-time record of 11-8-3 against the Gaels with the Foxes being undefeated since 2013.
  • The Stags are 0-5-2 in conference play, with their two ties against Mount St. Mary's and Rider.
  • Iona is coming off a 2-3 loss to St. Peter's from this past weekend.

  • The Red Foxes will host Canisius this upcoming Saturday, Oct. 21 to finish up their regular season schedule.  This match will be Senior Day to honor and celebrate all the seniors have accomplished during their time at Marist.
