Volleyball Looks to Get Back in the Win Column With Weekend Roadtrip

Marist Set to Take on Iona & Manhattan Over the Weekend

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – Marist volleyball will continue their road trip with two away matches against Iona on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 1 p.m. and Manhattan on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 1 p.m.

Last Time Out

Marist dropped their last match against Niagara three sets to one.
Sasha van der Merwe recorded a double-double with 13 kills and 10 digs.
Gabriella Heimbauer had 16 kills and seven digs.
Jordan Newblatt added a double-double with 11 kills and 19 digs.

Scouting Iona

The Gaels are 9-12 overall and 5-5 in the MAAC.
In their most recent match, Iona defeated Manhattan 3-1 on Oct. 14.
This will be the 57^th meeting between the Red Foxes and Gaels.
Marist won the most recent matchup in a five-set win on Oct. 6.

Scouting Manhattan

Manhattan is 5-17 overall and 2-8 in the MAAC.
They recently defeated Stonehill College 3-0 in a non-conference matchup.
Manhattan will play Siena on Saturday, Oct. 21 prior to facing Marist on Sunday.
This will be the 56^th matchup between Marist and Manhattan.
The Red Foxes have won the last seven meetings, including this season, winning 3-0 on Oct. 7.

Up Next

Marist will return to McCann to host their final two home games of the season against Niagara on Saturday, Oct. 28 and Canisius on Sunday, Oct. 29.
Both matches are set to begin at 1 p.m.
