POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - Marist volleyball plays their final home games of the season this weekend facing Niagara on Saturday, Oct. 28 and Canisius on Sunday, Oct. 29. Both matches are set to begin at 1 p.m.
In recognition of October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Marist volleyball team partnered with the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer foundation. On Saturday, Oct. 28 against Niagara, the team will wear pink to recognize those who have battled or are currently battling Breast Cancer.
Sunday, as the final home match of the season, will be volleyball's senior day; It will see the team's seniors honored in a ceremony prior to first serve.
- The Red Foxes dropped their third straight match losing to Manhattan in five sets.
- Jordan Newblatt scored a double-double with 27 kills and 15 digs.
- Claire Lewis recorded 51 assists and 15 digs.
- Sasha van der Merwe added a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs.
- The Purple Eagles are 9-11 overall and 8-4 in the MAAC.
- Most recently, Niagara lost to Fairfield 3-0 on Oct. 22.
- This will be the 50th matchup between the Purple Eagles and Red Foxes.
- Niagara won the most recent meeting 3-1 on Oct. 15.

- The Golden Griffins lost their last match 3-0 to Quinnipiac on Oct. 22.
- Canisius will face Siena on Saturday, Oct. 28 prior to playing Marist on Sunday.
