Women’s Soccer Hosts Siena at Tenney Stadium

Red Foxes Seeking Their Third Conference Win

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York -  The Marist women's soccer team will host Siena this Wednesday, October 4.  The Red Foxes are currently tied for third place in the MAAC standings after their 1-0 win over Manhattan this past Sunday.  This game will be the "Faculty and Staff Appreciation Game" to recognize the faculty and staff members who help them excel both on the field and in the classroom.
 
LAST TIME OUT
  • The Red Foxes defeated the Manhattan Jaspers 1-0.
  • Sophomore Maddy Catalanotti recorded six saves for the Red Foxes.
  • Brooke Cergol recorded first goal of the season.
  • Graduate student, Sturno records first assist of the season.
  • Manhattan outshot Marist 13-8 in the game, both teams had six shots on goal.
 
SCOUTING SIENA
  • The Red Foxes will match up against the Siena Saints for the twenty-sixth time in history.
  • Marist has an all-time record of 9-15-2 against Siena.
  • The Saints are 2-6-2 overall with a 1-1-1 conference record.
  • Siena is coming off a 2-1 victory over St. Peter's.
  • Siena's Megan Stowell leads her team with 9 points (3 goals and 3 assists).
 
UP NEXT
  • The Red Foxes will host Mount St. Mary's this upcoming Saturday, Oct. 7.  This game will be their Pride Game to show support of the LGBTQ+ community.
  • Kick-off is set for 1 p.m.
