Marist Football Drops PFL Game to Dayton

Red Foxes Host Senior Day Next Week

DAYTON, Ohio – The Marist football team fell to Dayton 35-6 in a Pioneer Football League game at Welcome Stadium on Saturday.
 
Scoring
  • Dayton got on the board first 50 seconds into the second quarter on a one-yard touchdown run by Luke Hansen.
  • The Flyers took a 14-0 lead following a 16-yard touchdown pass from Drew VanVleet to Sam Bubonics with 4:47 left in the second quarter. Dayton took a 14-0 lead to the locker room.
  • On Dayton's first drive of the second half, VanVleet threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to Jake Coleman.
  • Marist responded with a 14-yard touchdown pass from Logan Brabham to Matt Stianche.
  • On the first play of the fourth quarter, Hansen scored a rushing touchdown from one yard out.
  • Dayton closed out the scoring with 5:39 left on an 11-yard touchdown run by Logan Davis.

  • Brabham completed 26 of 35 passes for 259 yards, with one touchdown and two interceptions.
  • Stianche led the Red Foxes in receptions (seven) and receiving yards (105).
