LAWRENCEVILLE, New Jersey - The Marist men's soccer team fell to the Rider Broncs in the opening round of the MAAC tournament on Sunday afternoon. The Red Foxes fell 3-1 as their season comes to an end.

"We got beat by a better, more experienced team today. We started out well but when they scored their wonder goal, it took us too long to find our footing again. Hats off to them and I'm sure if we take the lessons of this game and what the year has given us, we will be in the mix again next season. It's not a question of talent with this group. We just need to grow together, and commit to doing the little things that win championships every day. I look forward to watching and working with this group to help them achieve that goal."

- In the 14th minute, Rider took a 1-0 lead over the Red Foxes with a shot blasted into the upper 90.
- The Broncs added to the lead with another goal in the 38th minute.
- Marist trailed 2-0 at the half. The Red Foxes tallied one shot on goal in the first half while the Broncs had three on goal.
- The Red Foxes got a great opportunity in the 62nd minute on a free-kick right outside the box. Jared Juleau stepped up and ripped a shot, but the Rider goalkeeper was there for the save.
- Less than a minute later, Rider scored once again to make it 3-0.
- In the 83rd minute, Juleau drew a penalty kick and fired it into the back of the net to cut the Broncs' lead to 3-1.
- Marist tallied nine shots in the match and six on goal.
- Luca Bulfon recorded two saves for the Red Foxes.
