WEST POINT, New York – The Marist men's basketball team earned a 71-55 victory at Army West Point in the season opener for both teams on Monday night at Christl Arena.

Summary

Javon Cooley's three at the 12:18 mark of the first half broke open a 9-9 tie and started an 11-0 run for the Red Foxes. Army was held scoreless for 4:37, and Marist led the rest of the way.
Jadin Collins' buzzer-beating three gave Marist a 42-26 lead at halftime.
Army cut it to 10 with 12:09 left, but Marist countered with a 6-0 run as the Red Foxes extended their lead to 16.
A Trace Salton layup with 5:45 left gave Marist a 19-point lead, its largest of the game.
