POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Marist cross country teams are set to compete in the 2023 NCAA Northeast Regional Cross Country Championships meet at Van Cortlandt Park on Friday, November 10th. The women will have a 6K race at 11 a.m., followed by the men's 10K race at noon.

Both teams have had a good two-week block of training since the MAAC Championships and they are eager to end the season on a positive note, with the goal of improving on last year's finishes. 

• Gabriel Rodriguez led the men's cross country team with a 19th-place finish as he finished the 8km course in 25:47.9.
• The rest of the Red Foxes' scorers included Kieran Donnelly (23rd, 26:10.6), Sean Dearie (24th, 26:13.4), Tyler Perry (32nd, 26:13.4), John Ignacz (33rd, 26:35.7), Raffi Buchakjian (35th, 26:37.7), and Jeremy Mbogo (47th, 27:06.3).
• Dearie and Buchakjian earned MAAC All-Rookie honors as they were the fourth and fifth freshmen to cross the finish line.
• Marist finished in fifth place as a team with 115 points. 

• Parker O'Brien secured 12th-place with a time of 21:53.2 on the 6k course as she attained All-MAAC honors for the first time in her career.
• The Red Foxes' other scorers included Sierra Fisher (26th, 22:37.1), Mallory Holloway (35th, 23:15.8), Paige McCaul (45th, 23:44.6), Raven Stanet (54th, 24:16.1), Christina Diorio (59th, 24:32.8), and Tori Mariano (60th, 24:32.8).
• Marist finished sixth as a team with 159 points. 

• Senior Ramsey Little (14th, 29:49) earned All-Northeast Region honors as he secured the highest finish and fastest 10k from a Red Fox in program history.
• The rest of the Red Foxes' scorers included Gabriel Rodriguez (132nd, 32:06), Kieran Donnelly (135th, 32:08), Tyler Perry (147th, 32:36), Aidan Pech (176th, 33:23), Daniel Czop (180th, 33:36), and Dominic Mastromatteo (195th, 34:20).
• Overall, the Marist men finished 21st out of 33 teams.
• Sophomore Samantha Kehler (113th, 22:38) was the top finisher for the women a season ago. Hannah Belleville (121st, 22:46) and Parker O'Brien (131st, 22:52) followed closely behind.
• The Red Foxes' other scorers included Adele Alexander (175th, 23:32), Sierra Fisher (179th, 23:34), Anaiya Bobo (194th, 23:54), and Kaitlyn Murtagh (216th, 24:25).
• The women placed 25th out of 37 teams.
