LOS ANGELES, California- For the first time in school history, Marist baseball travels to the University of Southern California. The Red Foxes open the season against the Trojans for a three-game series.

 

2022 Season Highlights

• The Red Foxes finished the 2022 season 29-17 overall and a dominant 17-5 record within the MAAC.
• Marist headed into the MAAC Championships as the second overall seed.
  • The Red Foxes fell to Niagara and Canisius to end the season.
• The Red Foxes had six players finish with a .300 batting average or higher.
• Marist tallied a total of 344 runs batted in during the 2022 season.
  • Graduate student Brian Hart brought in 37 RBIs on a .302 batting average.
  • Dylan Hoy slashed a .292 batting average and tallied 32 RBI's.
  • Marco Ali added 26 RBIs to the team total, including a homerun.
• The Red Foxes finished with a team earned run average of 5.72. The opponents of Marist finished with a 6.74 ERA.
• Jack Keenan in five appearances last year, posted an impressive 1.80 earned run average.
• Marist accounted for 419 total strikeouts in 2022.

  

Scouting USC

• The University of Southern California have won 12 national championships.
• The Trojans finished the 2022 season with a 25-28 overall record.
  • USC finished the PAC-12 slate at 8-22.
• The Trojans did not compete in the PAC-12 Championships.
• USC tallied 275 total runs batted in during the 2022 season.
  • Adrian Colon-Rosado led the Trojans with 34 RBIs and a .298 batting average.
  • Infielder Nick Lopez tallied 33 RBIs and a .282 batting average.
• The Trojans finished the 2022 season with an overall 5.47 earned run average.
  • The Trojans tallied 389 total strikeouts in 2022.

  • 2022 statistics: 1-5, 4.18 ERA, 39 strikeouts in 12 appearances.
• Saturday: #45 Jaden Agassi
  • 2022 statistics: 3-2, 4.34 ERA, 38 strikeouts in 15 appearances and 10 games started.
• Sunday: #31 Eric Hammond
  • Hammond did not record an appearance in 2022.
