Men’s Basketball Cruises Past Manhattan

Ingo Sets Career High in Scoring as Red Foxes Prevail by 23

RIVERDALE, New York – The Marist men's basketball rolled to an 81-58 victory at Manhattan on Friday at Draddy Gymnasium.
 
Summary
  • Marist scored the game's first four points, but Manhattan scored the next 10.
  • With 7:21 left in the first half, a Kam Farris three-pointer put the Red Foxes back in front, 14-12.
  • Two free throws by Stephane Ingo in the closing seconds of the first half gave Marist its largest lead to that point at six. The Red Foxes took a 32-26 lead to the locker room.

  • Ingo finished with a career-high 17 points and 11 rebounds for his first double-double of the season. He shot 6-for-8 from the field and 5-for-7 from the line and added two blocked shots.
  • Patrick Gardner finished with 25 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals. He shot 10-for-15 from the field, 2-for-2 from three, and 3-for-4 from the line.
  • Marist had four double-digit scorers as Harris had 15 and Cooley contributed 10.
  • Isaiah Brickner finished with six points, six rebounds, a team-high five assists, two steals, and a blocked shot.
  • Marist shot 12-for-26 from three-point range. The Red Foxes missed their first nine threes and then went 12-for-17 in the game's final 31 minutes.
