Hempstead, NY – The Marist women's lacrosse wins their second straight as they defeated non-conference opponent Hofstra 14-12.

Summary

• The Red Foxes got off to a hot start as they scored 3 goals in the first five minutes of the opening quarter however the Pride gained the lead as the red Foxes Trailed 4-3 after quarter one.
• Kelly Trotta was able to score her fourth hat trick of the season in the second quarter as she added three more goals for the red Foxes as they went into the locker room trailing 8-7.
• Marist & Hofstra battled back & fourth for the lead as Kelly Trotta and Chloe Birckhead added two more goals for the Red Foxes as they headed into the fourth quarter trailing 10-9.
• Kerri Gutenberger was able to score two more goals as she recorded her third hat trick of the season making it an 11-10 game.
• The Pride were able to score two unanswered goals giving Hofstra a 12-11 lead.
• Delaney Hayes was able to score three straight unanswered goals as she recorded her first hat trick of the season as the Red Foxes were able to take down the Pride 14-12 for the first time in program history.
• Kelly Trotta, Delaney Hayes, and Kerri Gutenberger were each able to net four goals in the victory.
• Miranda Lopes had 10 saves in goal in the Marist victory.
