LOUDONVILLE, New York- The Marist water polo team continues its dominance in MAAC play. The Red Foxes defeated Iona in overtime 16-15, and Siena 19-11 in the final match.

The Red Foxes move to 5-0 in the MAAC Conference and 16-8 overall on the 2023 season.

 

Match One Vs Iona

• The Red Foxes led the Gaels 4-3 after one quarter.
• After a back and forth second quarter, Marist led Iona 8-6 at halftime.
• The Red Foxes trailed the Gaels 11-10 after three quarters of play.
• The Red Foxes and Gaels went to overtime after ending the fourth quarter at 13-13.
• Marist defeated Iona in an overtime thriller 16-15.
• Viktoria Orlova scored seven goals in the win.
• Shinae Carrington scored three goals for the Red Foxes.
• Victoria Padilla scored two goals against Iona in the win.

• The Red Foxes jumped out to a 5-0 lead over Siena in the first quarter.
• Marist took a 12-2 lead over Siena into halftime of match two.
• The Red Foxes took control in the third quarter, and led 15-5.
• Marist triumphed over Siena in the final match 19-11.
• Viktoria Orlova scored five goals in the match.
• Two Red Foxes scored a hat-trick in the win over Siena.
