Men's Lacrosse Defeats Conference Opponent Sacred Heart

Stofko Collects 100th Career Caused Turnover

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Marist men's lacrosse team defeated Sacred Heart in a conference matchup on Wednesday night at Tenney Stadium, 13-9.

  • Sacred Heart scored the first goal of the third quarter. Joshua Balcarcel responded with a goal for Marist.

  • One minute later the Pioneers added another goal to cut the Red Foxes' lead to four.
  • Sam Ferrel extended the lead back to five with 7:22 remaining in the third. The Red Foxes held on to a 12-7 lead heading into the final quarter of play.
  • Sacred Heart scored two goals less than a minute apart to cut the Marist lead to 12-9 with 6:04 remaining in the game.
  • Jamison Embury scored with 22 seconds left to make it 13-9.
