History

LEWISBURG, Pennsylvania – The Marist men's lacrosse team defeated Bucknell in their final non-conference matchup Saturday afternoon, 14-11.

Summary

Jojo Pirreca with an early goal, assisted by Jamison Embury to give Marist a 1-0 lead.
Bucknell responded with four goals to take a 4-1 lead.
In a man-up situation, Vinny Butrico collected his first collegiate goal to cut Bucknell's lead to 4-2.
Jamison Embury brought the Red Foxes within one goal.
Tying the game at four, Hunter Embury scored his first goal of the season.
With 13 seconds remaining in the first quarter, Red Foxes took the lead with a goal from Jojo Pirreca assisted by Vinny Butrico.
Sean Kelliher opened the second quarter with his first career goal.
The Red Foxes added to their lead with three more goals from Sam Ferrel, Jojo Pirreca and Hunter Embury.
Shutting the Bison out in the second quarter, Red Foxes led heading into half 9-4.
Bucknell scored the first goal of the third quarter, Jojo Pirreca responded with a goal.
The Bison scored three straight goals, cutting Marist's lead to 10-8.
To start the fourth quarter, Jack Dudas of Bucknell tied it up at 10.
To take the lead back, Jake Deacy scored his first goal of the game. Giving Marist an 11-10 lead with just under six minutes remaining in the game.
Red Foxes add three more goals to close out the win, two from Jojo Pirreca and one from Joshua Balcarcel.
Marist defeated Bucknell by a score of 14-11.

Stats

Jojo Pirreca had a career high of six goals, and his second hat trick of the season.
Hunter Embury tallied two goals.
Six Red Foxes scored a goal, Jamison Embury, Joshua Balcarcel, Sam Ferrel, Vinny Butrico, Jake Deacy and Sean Kelliher.
