FAIRFIELD, Connecticut - The Marist women's lacrosse team fell to conference opponent Fairfield in a 20-4 loss.

Summary

The Stags got off to fast start as they scored multiple goals in the opening quarter.
Kerri Gutenberger & Olivia Arntsen were able to answer back as they found the back of net for Marist.
The Red Foxes trailed 8-3 heading into the second quarter.
Marist was held scoreless in the second quarter as Fairfield led 15-3 at halftime.
Fairfield opened up the third quarter adding two goals to their lead.
Kelly Trotta was able to find the back of the net to add a goal for Marist as the Red Foxes trailed 19-4 heading into the fourth quarter.
Fairfield was able to grow their lead in the four quarter as the Stags scored one more goal as the Red Foxes fell.
Miranda Lopes finished with 14 saves in net for the Red Foxes.
Gutenberger (two goals) and Trotta (one goal, one assist) each had two points.
