POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Marist men's tennis team defeated Mount St. Mary, 6-1, Thursday in a MAAC match played at the Marist Tennis Pavillion.  The win boosted the Red Fox's conference mark to 3-2 heading into Saturday's showdown with Quinnipiac.
 
" Athough Saturday is formally Senior Day, today was in fact Senior Day, as the seniors led the charge," said Director of Tennis Gary Sussman.  " Dylan and Ritz, playing together at first doubles for the first time this year, won the doubles point in a thrilling 10-8 tiebreak, and then Dylan and Christian notched early wins at first and second singles to put us in great shape to capture the match."
 
" And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the play of our two freshmen, Alex and Nick, who not only won at third doubles handily, but also recorded singles wins at fifth and fourth singles respectively.  Another great team effort."
