POUGHKEEPSIE, New York- The Marist baseball team started the four game home stand firing on all cylinders against Fordham University. The Red Foxes defeated the Rams in a commanding 11-2 win, Tuesday afternoon.

 

Summary

• The Red Foxes scored two runs in the first inning which had them jump out to an early 2-0 lead.
  • Brian Hart singled which brough home Dylan Hoy after two steals.
  • Ethan Conrad later singled in the inning which scored Bayram Hot.
• Brian Hart hit his team-high ninth home run of the season in the third inning which gave the Red Foxes a 3-0 lead. Later in the third inning, Danny Moshier doubled to right field and brought home Justin Kapuscinski.
• Fordham scored one run in the fourth inning.
• Niko Amory added onto the Red Foxes lead in the bottom of the fourth inning with a two-run single. The Red Foxes led 6-1 after four innings of play.
• Scoring was stagnant until the eighth inning, where Fordham scored a run in the top-half of the eighth inning.
• In the bottom of the eighth, The Red Foxes blew the game open with five runs. Brian Hart started the eighth inning scoring with a two-run double. Followed by Hart, Ethan Conrad registered a RBI double of his own. Nathan Lincoln finished the five-run inning with a two-run single into right field.
