Marist Football Spring Game Set for Friday Night

Intrasquad Contest Set for 6 p.m.; Point System to be Utilized

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The spring season for Marist football will culminate on Friday night with the annual Spring Game.
 
The contest is set for 6 p.m. at Tenney Stadium. Admission is free and the game is open to the public.
 
This year's game will consist of Offense vs. Defense with a point system:
 
Offense
  • Touchdown – six points
  • Field goal – three points
  • Two-point conversion – two points
  • Kicked PAT – one point
 
Defense
  • Touchdown – six points
  • Turnover – three points
  • Three-and-out – two points
  • Sack – one point
  • Tackle for loss – one point
  • Fourth down stop (not a punt) – one point
 
A running clock will be utilized with the exception of change of possession, scores, and injuries.
 
The Marist football team will open its 2023 season on Saturday, Sept. 2 at Georgetown. The first of the Red Foxes' five home games will take place on Saturday, Sept. 16 against Davidson.
