POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist baseball won its series opener against Mount St. Mary's, 8-7, on Thursday afternoon. This is the Red Foxes' second win in a row, and they look to extend their win streak in the remaining games of the series.

• Marist scored two runs with RBIs by Brian Hart and Bayram Hot to start the game.
• Mount St. Mary's hit a homerun in the third to cut the deficit, 2-1.
• Dylan Hoy led off the bottom of the third inning for Marist with a bunt single and then advanced to second off a steal.

• A bases-loaded hit-by-pitch added to the lead, making the score 8-3 going into the eighth inning.
• A solo homerun to start the eighth inning helps keep the game within reach for Mount St. Mary's.
• Mount St. Mary's scored three in the ninth, but Marist is able to close out the game with a final score of 8-7.

• Brian Yetter and John Hacker shared the mound and Jack Keenan recorded the save in Marist's win.
