POUGHKEEPSIE, New York- The Marist baseball team has won two games in row, dating back to May 14 against Fairfield. The Red Foxes defeated the Golden Griffins of Canisius 8-6, Wednesday afternoon.
 

Summary

• The Red Foxes got on the board first in the second inning. Marco Ali hit an RBI single which brought home Ethan Conrad.
• In the top of the third inning, Canisius evened the game at 1-1 with an RBI single. The Gold Griffins took the lead in the fifth inning 2-1 after a home run.
• In the bottom of the seventh inning, the Red Foxes scored five runs and took a 6-2 lead. Ethan Conrad gave the Red Foxes the lead on a two-run single which brought home Brian Hart and Niko Amory. The Red Foxes walked in two runs via a Colin Mackle hit by pitch and Dylan Hoy walk. Marco Ali topped off the inning with an infield single that allowed Danny Moshier to score.
• In the top-half of the eighth inning, Canisius tied the game at six apiece with four runs.
• The Red Foxes stormed back in the bottom of the eighth inning to regain the lead 8-6. Justin Kapuscinski delivered the eventual game-winning run with an RBI double. The Red Foxes added the second run of the inning on a balk.
• Danny Keon closed out the ninth inning as the Red Foxes topped the Golden Griffins 8-6.
