TALLAHASSEE, Florida – The Marist softball team fell to #3 overall seed Florida State by a score of 9-0 in five innings on Friday.

• Kiley Myers worked around a one-out single to toss a scoreless bottom of the first.
• Florida State loaded the bases in the bottom of the second, but Kiley Myers induced a flyout to left fielder Hannah Brock to end the inning.
• Florida State opened the scoring with five runs in the bottom of the third, which included a two-run homer from Michaela Edenfield.
• Kalei Harding's two-run homer gives FSU a 7-0 lead in the fourth.
• Katie Dack hit a two-run walk-off homer in the bottom of the fifth to allow the Seminoles to win by the mercy rule.

• Myers went the first 3.1 innings, and Maddie Pleasants got the final two outs in the fourth.
• Peyton Pusey drew a walk in the third inning.
• Mack Leonard started and went the first four innings for Florida State. She struck out two. Makenna Reid pitched the fifth and struck out two.
