POUGHKEEPSIE, NEW YORK – Marist Athletics' NCAA Faculty Representative Della Lee Sue has been selected for the Division I Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR) Institute this coming fall.
The institute will be held Wednesday through Saturday, November 15-18, in conjunction with the Annual Faculty Athletics Representative Associations meeting in Indianapolis.
The institute is designed to enhance the ability of newer FARs to perform their roles effectively on their individual campuses, within their conferences and within the governance structure of the NCAA. In their post-institute evaluations, participants have praised various institute sessions for enhancing the skill sets needed to perform the many different roles required of a FAR.

th Division I FAR institute will be held in conjunction with the annual FARA Meeting, November 16-18, 2023, in Indianapolis. FARs will be provided an opportunity to learn from veteran FARs, develop a network, engage in discussions related to national athletics issues and enhance their understanding of their role as a FAR.
Della, an Assistant Professor of Economics in the School of Management, joined the athletic department this past spring as the newly appointed faculty representative. Della teaches most of her courses at the undergraduate level, while also teaching economics courses in Marist's MPA and MBA programs.
Della earned her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Masters of Philosophy (MPhil) from Columbia University, a Masters from Boston University, and a Bachelor's Degree from Mount Holyoke College, majoring in mathematics and economics. Della's research interests and area of focus include; Labor Economics (unemployment), Market Analysis, Econometrics, Statistical Analysis, and Pedagogy. Della was named Faculty of the Year, Beta Gamma Sigma in 2007.
