Women’s Soccer Hosts Cornell for Home Opener

Red Foxes Back Under the Lights at Tenney Stadium for the First Time this Season

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Red Foxes ended their last matchup in a tie against St. Bonaventure this past Thursday.  The Red Foxes will finally play on their home turf and host Cornell for their home opener this upcoming Wednesday, August 30.  Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

  • The Red Foxes have an all-time record of 2-2-1 against Cornell.
  • Last season, the Red Foxes defeated Cornell 2-1.
  • Cornell opened up their season this past Sunday with a 2-2 draw against Lehigh.
  • Cornell was picked sixth in the Ivy League preseason poll.
 
UP NEXT
  • The Red Foxes will host Seton Hall this Sunday, September 3 at 1 p.m.
  • This game will be dedicated to mental health awareness and honor the Madison Holleran Foundation which is a non-profit charitable organization whose mission is to prevent suicide and assist those in crisis situations.  The organization was created in memory of Madison Holleran who took her own life in 2014 after struggling with anxiety and depression.
