Women's Soccer Falls to Saint Peter's

Hotaling Led the Team with Five Shots

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York- The Marist women's soccer team fell to Saint Peter's Saturday night at Tenney Stadium, 1-0.

Quote from Coach
  • "It's an unfortunate loss, not our best performance or the result we were looking for. I thought St. Peter's did a good job of disrupting the rhythm of play and never let us really settle into the game or allow us to bounce back after that early goal. Had a few really great chances but have to find a way to put one away," said Head Coach Nicole Pacapelli.

Summary
  • Saint Peter's opened up the scoring with a goal in the 4th minute of action on their first shot on goal of the game from Gianna Grassifulli.
  • Grace Hotaling had an opportunity to score in the 36th minute to tie the game but the Saint Peter's goaltender made a beautiful diving save to keep the Peacocks up a goal.
  • The Red Foxes had chances all second half, but failed to score.

Stats
  • Marist had eight shots in the first half, Hotaling led the team with five.
