POUGHKEEPSIE, New York- The Marist baseball team introduced 12 new members for the upcoming season. The Red Foxes added seven freshman and five transfers to the roster.
Lance Ratchford enters his second season as the head coach of Marist baseball. In addition to the 12 student-athletes joining the Red Foxes,
Niko Amory and Ray Sanchez joined the coaching staff.
Julian Abreu | Philadelphia, PA | 5'11| Infielder | Freshman
Abreu joins the Red Foxes from Friends Central School in Philadelphia, PA. The new Red Fox slashed a .317 batting average in 2023. Abreu tallied four doubles, two home runs, and 15 stolen bases during his senior year.
Colin Carver| Deep River, CT | 6'1 | Right-Handed Pitcher | Freshman
Carver joins the Red Foxes from Valley Regional High School in Deep River, CT. Carver during his senior season posted a 1.60 earned run average and struck out 63 batters in the process.
Scott Esposito | Katonah, NY | 5'9| Catcher | Freshman
Esposito joins the Red Foxes from John Jay High School in Katonah, NY. During Esposito's senior season, he slashed a .345 batting average with a .448 on base percentage and a .957 OPS.
Andrew Fierro | Bloomingdale, NJ | 6'0| Right-Handed Pitcher| Freshman
Fierro joins the Red Foxes from Butler High School in Bloomingdale, NJ. Fierro posted 35 innings pitched, which led to an impressive 0.98 earned run average and 51 strikeouts during his senior season.

Lewis Rodriguez | Garnerville, NY | 5'10| Outfielder | Freshman
Rodriguez joins the Red Foxes from Rabun Gap Nacoochee School in Georgia. During his senior season, Rodriguez slashed an impressive .494 batting average with five home runs and 23 stolen bases.
Aidan Vargas | Teaneck, NJ | 6'2| Right-Handed Pitcher/ Utility | Freshman
Vargas joins the Red Foxes from Teaneck High School in Teaneck, NJ. Vargas joins the roster as a two-way player. In his senior year, Vargas slashed a .433 average with eight home runs. As a pitcher, Vargas pitched 48 innings and posted a 2.45 earned run average with 77 strikeouts.
Cole Casamento | Limerick, PA| 6'0| Catcher| Junior
Casamento joins the Red Foxes from Lackawanna College in the Junior College division. Casamento played in the Junior College World Series at Lackawanna. During his career, Casamento slashed a .309 batting average with nine doubles, a triple, and 25 runs batted in.
Nate Chudy | Saratoga Springs, NY | 6'7| Right-Handed Pitcher | Graduate Student
Chudy joins the Red Foxes as a graduate student from Holy Cross. At Holy Cross, Chudy pitched 40 and two thirds' innings and limited batters to a .255 average. Chudy tallied 52 strikeouts at Holy Cross.
Ty Morris | Manchester, MD | 6'3| Right-Handed Pitcher| Junior
Morris joins the Red Foxes with Casamento from Lackawanna College. At Lackawanna, Morris made 15 appearances. In the 15 appearances, Morris made five starts and posted a 7-0 record with a 4.31 earned run average.
