NIAGARA FALLS, New York - The Marist women's soccer team played conference opponent Niagara to a 0-0 draw on Saturday afternoon.

"Extremely proud of our effort and coming away with a big point on the road today," said Head Coach
Nicole Pacapelli. "We did a lot of things right on and off the the ball, created good chances inside the 18 which is something we have been focusing on and even a last second crossbar opportunity really showed our momentum of putting the pieces together for a full hard fought 90 minutes."
- Marist was outshot 12-6 in the first half.
- Red Foxes' goalkeeper Maddy Catalanotti had a few crucial saves in the final five minutes of the half to keep the Purple Eagles off the board.
- Niagara doubled Marist's shots in the second half as well, 6-3.
- Both teams had their chances, but neither was able to find the back of the net as the game ended 0-0.
- Sophomore Maddy Catalanotti recorded 10 saves for the Red Foxes.
- Corner kicks favored the Red Foxes 7-2.
- Niagara had the advantage in shots (18-9) and shots on goal (10-7).
- The Red Foxes will play at Manhattan next Saturday, Sept. 30.
- Kick-off is set for 11 a.m.
