BETHLEHEM, Pennsylvania- The Marist women's swim and dive team dropped its year-opening meet against Lehigh, Saturday afternoon. The Red Foxes fought till the end but fell to the Mountain Hawks 192.5-105.5.
 

Highlights

• Maddie Healey reached the podium in the 1000-yard freestyle for the Red Foxes. Healey finished first in the race with a 10:46.74 time.
  • Healey finished second in the 500-yard freestyle in the meet (5:15.19).
• April Avila placed first in the 100-yard breaststroke for the Red Foxes (1:06.62).
  • Avila finished second in the 200-yard breaststroke, leading to two podium finishes (2:29.67).
• Kyra Cavicchi placed second in the one-meter dive (246.60) in the meet against Lehigh.
• The women's relay team consisting of Nellie Thompson, Margaret Hartman, Sophia Swanson, and Rian Dickman placed first in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:39.37).

  

Records

• The Red Foxes fall to 2-3 on the 2023-24 season in the meet against Lehigh, but remain 2-0 in MAAC play.
• Lehigh improved to 4-3 overall on the season.
