BUFFALO, New York – The Marist men's basketball team earned an 80-71 victory over Canisius on Sunday at the Koessler Athletic Center.

- Canisius scored the game's first four points.
- Marist answered with a 5-0 run, and took its first lead on a three-pointer by Javon Cooley. However, the Golden Griffins countered with a 5-0 run.
- There were six lead changes in the first seven-and-a-half minutes, but an 8-0 run extended the Golden Griffins' lead to a high of seven.
- Marist used a 9-0 run to take a six-point lead, as the Red Foxes held the Golden Griffins scoreless for 3:27.
- Max Allen II's layup at the buzzer gave Marist a 37-31 halftime lead.
- Cooley's two free throws following a technical foul gave Marist its first double-digit lead at 45-35 with 15:46 remaining.
- Kam Farris' three-pointer extended the Red Foxes' lead to 54-42, which forced a Canisius timeout with 11:53 to go.
- Josh Pascarelli's three with 6:19 left gave Marist its largest lead at 68-52.
- After Canisius cut its deficit to eight, another three by Pascarelli extended Marist's lead to 11 with 2:31 to go.
- Canisius scored four straight to cut Marist's lead to seven in the final minute, but Farris' layup with under 30 seconds left sealed the victory.

- Pascarelli led all scorers with 20 points. He shot 8-for-14 from the field and 4-for-7 from three-point range, and he also contributed four assists, two rebounds, and a steal.
- Pascarelli was joined in double figures by Allen (18), Farris (16), and Cooley (10).
- Marist had 22 assists, led by Jadin Collins with five.
- Allen, Cooley, and Jaden Daughtry grabbed a team-high four rebounds apiece.
- Marist shot .567 (34-for-60) from the field, .526 (10-for-19) from three-point range, and 1.000 (2-for-2) from the line.
- Tre Dinkins led Canisius with 18 points. Frank Mitchell had 17 points and a game-high 17 rebounds.

- Pascarelli had his team-best fourth 20-point game of the season.
- Farris' 16 points, three rebounds, and three assists were all season highs.
- Marist's .567 field goal percentage was its highest of the season, and best since a .587 mark at Columbia on Nov. 12, 2021.
- Marist's 22 assists were its highest single-game total since also having 22 against Niagara on Feb. 23, 2020.
- This was the fifth time this season Marist had at least four players score in double digits. The Red Foxes are 5-0 in these games.
- Marist has now won five of the last six against Canisius, including three straight.
- This was the second time this season Marist scored at least 80 points.

- Canisius moves to 8-12 overall and 3-7 in conference.
