Football Returns Home to Face St. Thomas

Red Foxes Host Tommies for Noon Kickoff Saturday at Tenney Stadium

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist football team hosts St. Thomas in a Pioneer Football League contest on Saturday at Tenney Stadium. The Red Foxes' third home game of the season kicks off at noon.
 
HOW TO FOLLOW
  • Geoff Brault (play-by-play), Steve Eggink (analyst), and William Rosen (sideline) will have the call on ESPN+.
  • Game updates will be available on X via Marist Football (@Marist_FBall).  
UNITED GAME
  • Led by the Black Student Athlete Alliance, the united games invite affinity groups all across campus to meet, mingle, and collaborate. A tent will be set up at the Marist tailgate. Stop by to learn more about these groups.
  • The groups also include Marist Hillel, Black Student Union, Muslim Student Association, Sikh Student Association, African Student Association, Asian Alliance, International Student Association, Italian American Society, and Hispanic Latino Club. 
  • Saturday's game is the first of several United games that will take place on Marist's campus across multiple sports in the 2024-25 school year.

LAST TIME OUT
  • Marist fell at Davidson, 42-19, on Saturday, Oct. 5.
  • Sonny Mannino set career highs with 312 passing yards and three touchdown passes, which were also the highest totals by a Red Fox this season.
  • Jackson Conners-McCarthy had 101 receiving yards on five receptions with a touchdown.
 
MARIST IN THE PFL
  • Marist is 58-56 all-time in PFL play, having joined the league in 2009. Marist is 9-13 in September, 32-22 in October, 17-20 in November, and 0-1 in December.
  • Marist is 28-30 at home, and 30-26 on the road in PFL play.
  • Marist won a share of the PFL championship in 2013.
 
ABOUT ST. THOMAS
  • The Tommies are playing their first PFL road game of the season after prevailing at home last week in the league opener, 34-24 against Stetson.
  • St. Thomas was picked second in the PFL Preseason Poll, with two Tommies earning Preseason All-PFL honors (RB Hope Adebayo, LT Alec Rasmussen).
  • Since joining the PFL in the 2021 season, the Tommies are 22-3 in league games.
  • Head coach Glenn Caruso is in his 17th season at the helm.
 
HISTORY VS. ST. THOMAS
  • This is the fourth all-time meeting between the Red Foxes and Tommies.
  • This is the second time St. Thomas has made the trip to Marist.
 
UP NEXT
  • The Red Foxes head back to the road as they travel to San Diego for a PFL contest on Saturday, Oct. 19.
  • Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. Eastern.
