Women's Hoops Aims For Second Straight Win Wednesday vs. Lafayette

Red Foxes Look To Move to 2-0 Inside McCann On The Season

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Marist women's basketball looks to pick up its second straight win on the early 2024-25 campaign, as the Red Foxes play host to Lafayette on Wednesday. Tip-off from McCann Arena is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
 
LAST TIME OUT
  • Junior Morgan Lee scored a team-best 14 points to lead the Marist women's basketball team past Cornell, 62-56, in the 2024-25 home opener inside McCann Arena Sunday afternoon.
  • The Red Foxes saw three players finish with double-figures in points in Morgan Lee (14), Lexie Tarul (11), and Danielle Williamsen (11).
  • The trio scored 28 of their 36 points in the second half of the contest to help lead the Red Foxes past the Big Red.
  • As a team, Marist shot 46.4% from deep in the victory.

  • Lafayette is led by Kia Darmon, who has totaled 72 wins in her eight seasons at the helm of the program.

  • Lafayette is 1-1 on the season entering Wednesday's contest against the Red Foxes.
  • The Leopards came up short against Boston College, 85-55, on the road in its opener on Nov. 4.
  • Lafayette picked up its first victory of the season behind a 53-45 win over St. Francis (Pa.)
  • Abby Antognoli leads the Leopards with 16.5 points, 2.5 assists, and 2.0 steals per game, while Kay Donahue adds 13.0 points, 6.5 rebounds , 2.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.
