POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - Josh Pascarelli scored 25 points to lead the Marist men's basketball team past Army, 91-88 in overtime, in a back-and-forth contest inside McCann Arena on Friday evening.
Jackson Price scored 14 points in the Red Foxes' victory.
Elijah Lewis and
Jason Schofield added 13 apiece.
With the win, the Red Foxes improve to 2-1 on the early campaign while the Black Knights fall to 2-2.
- Army scored the game's first points on Jalen Rucker's three pointer in the first 30 seconds.
- Marist scored its first basket on a layup by Jackson Price, assisted by Jaden Daughtry.
- Marist took its first lead on a three-pointer by Josh Pascarelli 2:02 into the game.
- A three-pointer by Caleb Mackrey gave the Red Foxes a 16-9 lead, their largest of the half.

- Ryan Curry sank a three pointer to tie the game 74-74 with :53 remaining.
- Jalen Rucker recorded a steal off and went on to score a go-ahead layup with just :05 remaining.
- A last-second basket by Collins-Roberts sent the game to overtime.
- Pascarelli scored the first basket in overtime, giving him 20 points on the night.
- Army led 86-84 with 1:16 remaining, but a Pascarelli jumper tied the game at 86.
- Pascarelli went on to sink the go-ahead three pointer with just :12 remaining to give the Red Foxes the lead for good.
- Daughtry sank two free throws in the closing seconds to account for the game's final points.
- Pascarelli led the Red Foxes with 25 points. He shot 10-for-16 from the field and 5-for-8 from three-point range. He also had five rebounds and three assists.
- Price scored 14 points, shooting 6-for-12 from the field. He added five rebounds and two assists.
- Schofield added 13 points, shooting a perfect 6-for-6 from the field and sinking his only free throw attempt.
- Lewis gave the Red Foxes four double-digit scorers with 13 points of his own. He added three rebounds and two assists.
- Jaden Collins-Roberts finished with a team-high seven assists and added five rebounds.

- Pascarelli has scored at least 20 points in three straight games for the first time in his career. Pascarelli now has seven career games with at least 20 points.
- Tonight's overtime game was the Red Foxes' first since Nov. 26, 2022 at Bucknell.
- Marist has now won four straight games in overtime, and is 6-1 in overtime games over the last five seasons.
- With tonight's victory, Marist now leads the all-time series against Army 12-11.
- Marist will be back in action on Tuesday, Nov. 19, when the Red Foxes play host to Dartmouth.
