Henry Commits to Doughty and Red Foxes

Women's Hoops Lands Justine Henry for 2025

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Marist women's basketball head coach Erin Doughty announced the signing of Justine Henry to the program for 2025 on Friday, Nov. 15, 2024.

A native of Long Island, New York, Henry will join the Red Foxes for the 2024-25 campaign as a true freshman with four years of eligibility. Most recently, Henry averaged 16.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 8.0 assists per game as a junior at The Mary Louis Academy.

"We are thrilled to have Justine joining our Red Fox family," Marist women's basketball Head Coach Erin Doughty said. "Justine is a dynamic guard who can play both the point and wing for us. She has great versatility on the offensive end, with the ability to score around the basket and stretch the floor from 3. She consistently makes good decisions with the ball whether scoring or passing and isn't afraid to take the big shot."

"Most importantly, she is of high character, has a tremendous work ethic, and will undoubtedly fit in seamlessly and make an immediate impact on our locker room and culture," Doughty added. "We can't wait for Justine to get here and get to work!"

A five-year varsity basketball player, Henry has been a standout for The Mary Louis Academy since eighth grade. In 2021-2022, she was named TMLA Rookie of the Year, and since then, has earned TMLA MVP honors in both her sophomore and junior years. In addition to her athletic accolades, she was also recognized with the TMLA Scholar-Athlete Award in her junior year.

Henry's impressive performance on the court continued into 2023 when she was named MVP of the Rose Classic Hoops Festival and received the Rose Classic Student-Athlete Award. She also took home MVP honors at the SheGotGame Tournament and the Baldwin High School Classic in 2023-2024. That year, Henry was also selected to The Tablet Girls Basketball All-Star Team.

Henry is the first announced addition to the Marist women's basketball program for the 2025 class.
