DES MOINES, Iowa – The Marist football team was defeated at Drake in a Pioneer Football League contest on Saturday by a score of 19-0.

- After a punt on Marist's first possession, Broox Bolden recovered a muff in Drake territory.
- Shane Dunning's 29-yard field goal gave Drake a 3-0 lead at the 9:26 mark of the first quarter.
- With Drake driving in Marist territory early in the second quarter, James Kratochvil intercepted a pass that was initially tipped by Tyrell Powell.
- Sean Coverdale recovered a fumble on a dropped snap at the Drake 45 with 8:29 left in the second quarter.
- With 1:21 left in the second quarter, Drake took a 10-0 lead in a one-yard touchdown pass from Luke Bailey to Parker Olthoff.
- Dunning hit a 31-yard field goal with 21 seconds left in the first half, and Drake took a 13-0 lead to the locker room.
- Davion Cherwin's 25-yard touchdown run gave Drake a 19-0 lead early in the third quarter. This accounted for the final points of the game.

- Marist generated a season-high three turnovers in the contest on the recoveries by Bolden and Coverdale plus Kratochvil's interception.
- Powell had a team-high seven tackles.
- Tristan Shannon and Carter James tied for the team lead with 26 rushing yards, and they also tied for the team lead with five receptions. Shannon had a team-high 44 receiving yards.
- Marist had six drives reach Drake territory.
