FAIRFAX, Virginia- The Marist men's swim team completed the final day of competition at the Patriot Invitational, Saturday night.
Caden Hardy and
Kellen Fletcher headlined the night, setting two school records.
The Red Foxes finished fourth overall out of seven teams at the Patriot Invitational.

We saw many times that could win our conference championships and we didn't back down, instead our team rose to the challenge and left breaking four school records and one MAAC record while setting numerous season and lifetime bests. - The Red Foxes had three men's swimmers set school records on the final day of the Patriot Invitational.
- In the prelim race in the 200-yard breaststroke, Dylan Magda set the Marist school record with a time of 2:00.64. Magda previously set the school record last season for the Red Foxes.
- In the finals for the 200-yard breaststroke, Caden Hardy broke Magda's record with a time of 2:00.41. Hardy placed the highest of all Red Foxes in the finals, finishing fourth overall.
- Magda placed right behind Hardy in the finals with a fifth-place finish and a time of 2:01.26.
- Rounding out the Patriot Invitational, Kellen Fletcher set the school record in the 200-yard butterfly. Fletcher swam his way to a time of 1:48.50, which placed him second overall in the finals of the event.
- The Red Foxes set five new school records at the Patriot Invitational.
- In the 1650-yard freestyle, James Conable placed the highest for the Red Foxes with a ninth-place finish. Conable swam his way to a time of 16:05.93 in the finals event.
- Jack LaBianca recorded the second-highest finish in the event, placing 11th overall. LaBianca swam his way to a time of 16:09.13 in the finals.
- Adam Zaremba rounded out the top-three for the Red Foxes with a 12th place finish. Zaremba clocked in with a time of 16:09.41 in the event.
- James Conable placed the highest in the 200-yard backstroke for the Red Foxes, making it his second event with the highest finish. Conable swam to a fourth-place finish with a time of 1:48.72.
- Quinn Smith rounded out the top-two Red Foxes finishers with a sixth-place finish. Smith clocked in with a time of 1:49.08 in the finals event.
- Adrian Bankowski recorded the highest finish for the Red Foxes in the 100-yard freestyle. Bankowski finished seventh overall with an impressive time of 45.61.
- The Red Foxes will return to competition with a home meet on Jan. 11, 2024 against Lehigh.
- The meet is slated for 1 p.m. as the first event will begin.
