Women's Hoops Set For Saturday Battle With Bryant

Red Foxes Take Aim at Second Straight Win

SMITHFIELD, RI. - Marist women's basketball returns to action Saturday, as the Red Foxes travel to take on Bryant. Tip-off from the Chace Athletic Center is set for 2 p.m. on ESPN+.
 
LAST TIME OUT
  • Lexie Tarul scored a career-high 19 points, as Marist women's basketball wrapped up the Christmas City Classic hosted by Lehigh with a 60-56 victory over North Dakota inside Stabler Arena on Dec. 1.
  • Tarul added five rebounds and a block in the win.
  • Ciara Croker tallied nine points, a career-high nine rebounds, and two steals.
  • Morgan Lee recorded nine points, seven rebounds, two blocks, and two steals.

  • Forward Ciara Croker returns for her junior campaign.

  • She recorded nine points, a career-high nine rebounds, and added two steals in the win over North Dakota on Dec. 1.
  • Croker scored eight points and went 4-for-4 from the floor to help lead Marist past Yale at home on Nov. 26.
  • She scored 12 points in Marist's victory over Lafayette on Nov. 13.
TRUST IN JC
  • Julia Corsentino returns for her sophomore campaign after 5.7 points per game as a rookie.
  • Corsentino reached double-digit scoring in eight games last season, including a career-high 23-point effort against Lafayette on Nov. 15, 2023.
  • She is averaging career-bests 6.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game off the bench this season.
  • Corsentino has scored seven or more points off the bench in six each of the last seven games.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
  • Bryant is led by Lynne-Ann Kokoski, who has totaled seven wins so far in her first season at the program's helm.
  • Bryant is 7-1 on the season entering Saturday's contest against the Red Foxes.
  • The Bulldogs are riding a three-game win streak entering Saturday's contest.
  • Bryant downed Yale, 67-52, at home in its last time out on Friday, Nov. 29.
  • Bryant is averaging 64.3 points per game, while shooting 43.6% from the field and 27.5% from deep.
  • The Bulldogs have three players averaging at least 13.0 points per game so far this season in Maranda Nyborg (13.1), Breezie Williams (13.0), and Ali Brigham (13.3).
