TEMPE, Arizona- The Marist water polo team concluded the ASU Invite, Sunday afternoon. The Red Foxes dropped matches to 12^th ranked UC Santa Barbara and 19^th ranked San Jose State.

The Red Foxes fell to 6-10 overall on the 2024 season and have completed matches against 10 opponents ranked in the top 25.

 

Match One Vs 12 UCSB

• The Red Foxes finished the first half with a 3-2 lead against the Gauchos.
• Going into halftime, the Red Foxes trailed the Gauchos 6-5.
• In the third quarter, the Red Foxes were held scoreless and trailed the Gauchos 9-5.
• The Red Foxes fell in the first match 10-7 against UCSB.
• Shinae Carrington and Kaylee Brard scored a pair of goals in the match.
• Three Red Foxes scored a goal in the match:

Match Two Vs 19 SJSU

• The Spartans took an early 3-1 lead against the Red Foxes after the first quarter.
• The Red Foxes outscored the Spartans 3-2 in the second quarter but trailed 5-4 at halftime.
• Going into the final quarter, the Red Foxes trailed the Spartans 8-5.
• The Red Foxes fell to San Jose State 12-8.
• Paige Naegle scored a hat trick for the Red Foxes in the match.
• Ella Baumgarten scored a pair of goals in the match.
• Three Red Foxes scored a goal in the match:
