SANTA CLARA, California- The Marist water polo team swept the first day of competition at the Bronco Invitational. The Red Foxes defeated 13^th ranked University of the Pacific and Concordia in the final match in the first day of competition.
 

Match One Vs 13 Pacific

• The Red Foxes jumped out to an early 3-2 lead after the first quarter.
• At halftime, the Red Foxes extended their lead with four goals and took a 7-4 lead.
• At the end of three quarters to play, the Red Foxes led Pacific 10-5.
• The Red Foxes fought off a five goal final quarter from the Pacific, winning 11-10.
• Rachel Dean led the Red Foxes with a hat trick in the win.
• Victoria Padilla and Paige Naegle each scored a pair of goals in the win.
• Four Red Foxes scored a goal in the win:

• Kayle Brard tallied two assists in the win.

Match Two Vs Concordia

• The Red Foxes fell at the end of the first quarter 4-3.
• Going into the half, the Red Foxes scored four goals and evened the match 7-7.
• The Red Foxes scored six goals in the third quarter, taking a 13-8 lead into the final frame.
• The Red Foxes defeated Concordia 15-9.
• Paige Naegle scored six goals in the win.
• Ella Baumgarten scored four goals in the win against Concordia.
