LOUDONVILLE, New York – The Marist women's basketball team aims to snap its 10-game skid, as the Red Foxes travel to take on MAAC foe Siena on Thursday. Tip-off from the UHY Center is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN+.

 

LAST TIME OUT

• Zaria Shazer tallied 17 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists to lead the way for Marist women's basketball, but the Red Foxes came up short in overtime at Rider, 62-61, Saturday afternoon inside Alumni Gymnasium.
• Ciara Croker scored a career-high 14 points off the bench to aid the Red Foxes in the loss.
• Lexie Tarul added 10 points and five rebounds in the loss.
• Catie Cunningham totaled four points, 12 rebounds, and four assists.

 

LET CATIE COOK

• In her junior campaign, Catie Cunningham is averaging career-high totals of 5.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.
• Cunningham has reached double-figure scoring five times this season.
• She has recorded four double-doubles in her career, all coming this season.
• Her most recent double-double came against Siena on Feb. 3, where she totaled 12 points and 14 rebounds.
• Cunningham totaled 12 points and a career-high 17 rebounds against Quinnipiac on Feb. 1.
• She tallied 10 points and 11 rebounds, and knocked down the game-winning free throw in Marist's win over Niagara on Jan. 13.
• Cunningham scored a career-high 18 points and knocked down a career-high three three-pointers against Cornell on Dec. 21.
• She tallied 17 points and added 12 rebounds for a double-double in Marist's victory over Army in the season-opener on Nov. 9.

 

SCOUTING SAINTS

• Siena is led by Jim Jabir, who boasts 93 wins in his sixth season with the Saints.
• Siena enters the matchup at 14-11 on the season and 11-6 in the MAAC.
• The Saints have lost three of their last four contests.
• Siena downed Saint Peter's in Jersey City, 75-57, in its last time out this past Saturday.
• Siena has four players that average double-figures in scoring: Teresa Seppala (13.2 PPG), Elisa Mevius (11.8 PPG), Ahniysha Jackson (11.7 PPG), and Anajah Brown (11.0 PPG).

 

HISTORY VS SIENA

• Thursday's contest against Siena will mark Marist's 76th contest against the Saints.
• The Red Foxes are 40-35 all-time against the Saints and average 63.2 points per game in the series.
• Marist once held a 25-game winning streak against Siena that spanned from Feb. 2005 - Jan. 2016.
• Marist is 19-17 all-time on the road against Siena.
• Siena has won each of the last five contests against Marist.
