Marist Football’s 2024 Schedule Announced

Red Foxes’ 11-Game Slate Announced for Coach Willis’ First Season

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist football team's 2024 schedule has been released. The Red Foxes will play five home games in the 2024 season, the first under head coach Mike Willis.
 
Marist will play three non-league games, which will be followed by eight Pioneer Football League contests.
 
Saturday, Sept. 7
Georgetown at Marist
  • This will be the third straight season Marist has opened its season by facing the Hoyas.
  • This is the 25th time Marist has faced Georgetown, the most of any opponent on this year's schedule.
 
Saturday, Sept. 14
Marist at Lafayette
  • This is the first Marist-Lafayette game since 2008.
 
Saturday, Sept. 21
Marist at Bucknell
  • It will be the 17th all-time meeting between Marist and Bucknell.
 
Saturday, Sept. 28
Dayton at Marist
  • This game will take place on Family Weekend at Marist.
  • Dayton is the only opponent the Red Foxes have faced in every season since joining the PFL in 2009.
 
Saturday, Oct. 5
Marist at Davidson
  • This is Marist's first trip to Davidson since 2019.
 
Saturday, Oct. 12
St. Thomas at Marist
  • It is the Tommies' second all-time trip to Marist.
 
Saturday, Oct. 19
Marist at San Diego
  • This is Marist's first trip to San Diego since 2019.
 
Saturday, Oct. 26
Valparaiso at Marist
  • This game will take place on Homecoming & Reunion Weekend at Marist.
  • It is the 13th all-time meeting between the teams.
 
Saturday, Nov. 2
Marist at Drake
  • The last three Marist-Drake games have all been decided by one score.
 
Saturday, Nov. 9
Marist at Stetson
  • The teams have met every season since Stetson re-started its program in 2013.
 
Saturday, Nov. 16
Presbyterian at Marist
  • This marks the second trip to Poughkeepsie for the Blue Hose.
 
The PFL champion receives an automatic berth to the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs.
 
Game times will be released at a later date.
 
About Marist Football
The Marist football program was founded in 1965 and attained varsity status in 1978. The Red Foxes joined the Division I-AA (now Football Championship Subdivision) ranks in 1993. Marist has competed in the Pioneer Football League since 2009. The Red Foxes have won conference championships in 1990, 1994, 2006, 2007, and 2013. Two Marist football players, Jason Myers and Terrence Fede, have competed in NFL games. Myers is currently the Seattle Seahawks' placekicker, and he is a nine-year NFL veteran who has been selected to the Pro Bowl twice.
