ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Marist women's basketball team begins its quest for a 12th MAAC Tournament title, as the Red Foxes open the MAAC Championships with Mount St. Mary's in the first round. Tip-off from Boardwalk Hall is set for Tuesday at 3 p.m. on ESPN+.

- Ciara Croker scored a team-high 14 points to lead the Marist women's basketball team in its loss against Quinnipiac on the road, 51-42, Saturday afternoon inside M&T Bank Arena.
- Her 14 points tied her career-high, while adding seven rebounds off the bench.
- Lexie Tarul added nine points and six rebounds.
- Morgan Lee contributed seven points, eight rebounds, and three blocks.
- Catie Cunningham grabbed nine rebounds and added two steals, while Jackie Piddock contributed a career-high eight assists.

- Senior forward Zaria Shazer of the Marist women's basketball team was honored by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference on Monday morning, as Shazer was named to the All-MAAC Second Team.Â
- This is Shazer's second time being named to one of the three All-MAAC teams, as she earned All-MAAC Second Team honors as a junior last season.
- In 28 games this season, Shazer averaged 14.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.4 steals per game.
- Her 14.1 points per game ranked third in the MAAC, while her career-high 8.4 rebounds per game slots her second in the conference.
- Of her 19 career double-doubles, 10 have come in this season alone.
- She ranks third in the MAAC in free throw attempts (130) and third in makes (91).
- Shazer was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the Week as announced by the league on Monday, Jan. 15.
- In a 2-0 weekend for the Red Foxes, Shazer averaged 23.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 51.5 percent from the field.
- She opened the weekend with 27 points and eight rebounds in Marist's victory over Rider.
- She followed that performance with 20 points, nine rebounds, and three assists in the Red Foxes' thrilling one-point victory over Niagara on Jan. 13.
- Shazer scored her 1,000th career point against Drexel on Dec. 6, becoming the 28th player in program history to accomplish the feat and first since Alana Gilmer (2019-2020).

- The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference released its 2024Â MAAC All-Academic Team for women's basketball on Monday.
- A total of 11Â student-athletes received All-Academic honors this season, tied for the most in the conference.
- To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher

- Mount St. Mary's enters the postseason as the No. 6 seed at 13-16 on the season and 10-10 in the MAAC.

- Mount St. Mary's downed Saint Peter's in Emmitsburg, 56-46, in its last time out this past Saturday to close the regular season.
- The Mount is led by All-MAAC Second Team selection Jessica Tomasetti, who boasts 13.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

- Tuesday''s contest against Mount St. Mary's will mark Marist's 22nd contest against the Mountaineers and second in the postseason.
- The Red Foxes are 5-16 all-time against the Bobcats and average 60.4 points per game in the series.
