Men’s Basketball Drops Road Game at Quinnipiac

Collins Records First Career Double-Double

HAMDEN, Connecticut – The Marist men's basketball team fell at Quinnipiac by a score of 73-64 on Thursday night.
 
Summary
  • Marist jumped out to an early 11-5 lead thanks to five points from Javon Cooley on a three-pointer and two technical free throws.
  • A layup by Amarri Tice at the 12:00 mark put Quinnipiac up 16-15.
  • Quinnipiac took a 32-22 lead with 5:28 left in the first half. However, Marist answered with a 7-0 run that included four made free throws by Jadin Collins.
  • Jackson Price and Collins both made layups in the final minute of the first half to cut the Red Foxes' deficit to 37-36 after 20 minutes.
  • Cooley scored the first points of the second half to put Marist back in front, but Quinnipiac answered with a 7-0 run.
