Marist Student-Athletes Enjoy Outstanding Spring 2024 Semester

All 23 Division I Programs Finish Semester & Academic Year with GPA Over 3.0

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist student-athletes enjoyed a tremendously successful Spring 2024 semester in the classroom.

Highlights

All 23 of Marist's Division I program earned at least a 3.0 grade-point average this semester. This marked the third time in school history this has occurred, following the Spring 2020 and Spring 2022 semesters.
All 23 programs finished the 2023-24 academic year with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
A total of 13 programs had Spring 2024 team GPAs of at least 3.5, and 13 programs finished the school year with cumulative GPAs of at least 3.5.
Two programs set records this semester for best GPA: men's rowing (3.526) and football (3.323).
Marist had 573 student-athletes enrolled in the spring semester. Of these:
- 53 had a perfect 4.0 GPA.
- 293 (51%) had a GPA of 3.5 or better.
- 477 (83%) had a GPA of 3.0 or better.
The top five semester GPAs belonged to: women's track & field (3.592), women's lacrosse (3.588), women's cross country (3.588), softball (3.575), and volleyball (3.568).
At the conclusion of the 2023-24 school year, the top five cumulative team GPAs belonged to: volleyball (3.757), men's cross country (3.610), men's tennis (3.603), softball (3.600), and women's track & field (3.586).
