NEWARK, Delaware - The Marist volleyball team looks to continue its non-conference schedule on the road, with a stop-over in Newark, DE. The Red Foxes are set to participate in the Blue Hen Invitational, a three-team tournament, from Friday, Sept. 13 to Saturday, Sept. 14. Marist will take on the host, Delaware, on Friday at 6 P.M. and Howard on Saturday at 2 P.M.
 

Last Time Out

• Marist participated in the Kathy DeBoer Invitational in East Lansing, MI from Sept 6-7.
  • The Red Foxes went 0-3 at the tournament, falling 3-0 to Western Kentucky, Loyola Chicago and Michigan State.
• Taylor Miller led the Red Foxes in kills at the Invitational, recording 24 in three matches. Her performance led to her being named to the Kathy DeBoer Invitational All-Tournament Team.
• Sara Dasic collected 13 kills, 11 digs and five receptions in three games.
• Claudia Kasperski tallied seven receptions, eight digs and two assists in three games.

Scouting Delaware

• The Blue Hens are 3-0 all-time over the Red Foxes.
  • In the most recent matchup between these teams on Sept. 7 2018, the Red Foxes fell to Delaware 3-2.
• In 2024 the Blue Hens 2-3 on the season, most recently falling 3-0 to San Jose State on Sept. 7
• The Blue Hens are led in kills by, Graduate Student, Savannah Seemans, with 54.
  • Seemans was named to the Hawkeye Invite All-Tournament Team.

• This is the first matchup between Howard and Marist.
• Howard enters the tournament with a record of 4-3, having lost 3-2 in its latest matchup against American.
• Rya McKinnon leads the Bison in kills with 117, notching a kills per set rate of 4.18
  • In the early stages of the 2024 season, McKinnon has already been named MEAC Player of the Week twice.
• Dami Awojobi has collected 80 digs, 19 blocks, 13 aces and 64 kills.
  • She has been named MEAC Defensive Player of the Week once this season.
